My parents have been so generous to me and now my wife over the years. With their 40 year wedding anniversary coming last December, I wanted to do something memorable for them. It wasn’t too hard to think of using Nissequogue to host a surprise party for them.
Working with Jack Albright and his very professional (and very friendly) wait staff, we had that memorable night. Jack made planning the evening very easy and I loved how I was given options to set the perfect menu. Using the Breakfast Room gave us our own private space and a fireplace on a cold winter night.
The attendees of the party came from as far as 500 miles away. They all loved the food, atmosphere, and, of course, the charm that Nissequogue offers. I am looking forward to having my parents’ 50th anniversary party at Nissequogue (though it will be much harder to surprise them next time!)

What can I say about our experience with the club during our dual 50th birthday celebration?………spectacular! Every aspect of planning and execution was handled flawlessly by both of you and the entire staff. Your suggestions and recommendations regarding everything from tablecloths to flowers to room setup and menu were all spot on. The organization and flow of the party were handled perfectly as well.
From the beginning, the cocktail party venue on the patio was breathtaking, the food superb. The Harbor room was beautifully decorated and arranged. The bar and wait staff were friendly, efficient and professional. We felt that they were always available, yet unobtrusive-a difficult task. Once again the food was superb.
We have received so many wonderful compliments about the party and the club. As the ultimate testament to the preparation of Jack and Barry, we felt very little stress leading up to the event and actually were able to thoroughly enjoy our own party. They attended to all of the details.
We cannot wait to hold another event at the club and are eternally grateful to Jack, Barry and the entire staff at Nissequogue Golf Club for making our party an event that we, our family, and all who attended will truly never forget.

Conducting first class championships that “promote and conserve the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf’ was the founding mission of the Metropolitan Golf Association. Each year, the MGA continues this tradition by organizing some of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious events; we feel privileged to host our tournaments at the most exceptional golf course facilities in the world.
On behalf of the MGA Executive and Tournament Committees, I thank you for helping us accomplish our objective of being a leader in championship administration. Your support and cooperation in preparing for the Ike MGA Stroke Play SQR at Nissequogue Golf Club largely contributed to a very successful tournament.
